Relationship-Skills-Stations for Elementary students. Create positive and supportive relationships with other students. Teach acceptable behaviors and actions to promote and maintain positive connections and build positive relationships, especially with diverse individuals and groups, using various methods such as active listening, working together towards a common goal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. 

The Great 8 Skills define Relationship Skills as a child’s consistent performance of socially acceptable actions that promote and maintain positive connections with others.

-Duration or length: 45-50 minutes

Agenda

  • Explain the new topic and unit and new vocabulary words (5 minutes)
  • Explain the stations, meaning, purpose, and instructions (10 minutes – 6 stations)
  • Build your teams (2 minutes)
  • Hands-on stations (4-5 minutes per station approximately=24 minutes)
  • Clean and disinfect (5 minutes)
  • Close your lesson with some questions. (5-8 minutes)

Materials Needed

*** Ask your PE team, SPED, or KBL for most of these supplies

  • Print and laminate all the cards (use card stock)
  • Cones
  • Tunnel or students can go under the table
  • Small trampoline
  • Bicycle item
  • Designated area for the hops,
  • Designated area for the memory game- You can use duct tape to do the squares
  • Optional rulers,
  • Hot glue,
  • Laminated papers for games and signs
